吸血鬼第五季劇情介紹（第一集）： Damon and Elena are happy with their newly started relationship. Though a bit hesistant, Damon says his byes to Elena as she leaves for Whitemore college leaving Jeremy under the guardianship of Damon. At college Elena and Caroline expect Bonnie to join them soon but is shocked when a girl named Megan joins their dorm. At the Salvatore boarding house, Katherine makes an unwelcoming appearance, totally frightened at being human and vulnerable. She seeks help from Damon to keep her hidden. At the town square restaurant, Sheriff Forbes has an encounter with Silas. At the college start party, Megan is killed by a vampire to which Elena and Caroline are concerned about their secret may bust open. At the Salvatore house Silas and Katherine have an encounter but she escapes with the help of Damon and Jeremy. At the Summer-Ending party Rudy Hopkins (The Mayor) is killed by Silas who influences the whole crowd over there to find Katherine. Stefan is still in the locker underwater and is hallucinating while fighting the urge to turn off his humanity.
