The Chinese government says the nuclear crisis in Japan has not yet had any impact on the Chinese Mainland.

According to the latest survey from the State Oceanic Administration, radioactive substance in the waters around Fukushima?will spread to the southern and eastern region of the Sea of Japan in the next three days. The radioactive substance will not impact the East China Sea.

However in Hong Kong, some imported vegetables from Japan have been detected with radioactive substances. Local authorities have responded by suspending imports of milk, vegetables and fruits from five relevant regions.

Meanwhile in Japan, milk in two more cities has become contaminated by radioactive iodine, which brings the total number of affected cities to seven. As well, authorities have canceled their warning to prevent infants from drinking tap water as the latest test shows that radioactive substance levels have returned back to normal.

And, engineers resumed work on the No. 3 reactor on Thursday, while the temperature of the safety shell of the No. 4 reactor has also been brought down to 28 degrees Celsius.
