Gearing up for the release of their new animated movie, the stars of the The Lorax descended upon Universal Studios Hollywood for the film’s orange carpet premiere earlier today.

Boasting quite the impressive cast of voices, co-stars Zac Efron and Taylor Swift were certainly fan favourites as they arrived to the event, greeting the line of spectators at the entrance prior to the Dr Seuss book based motion picture’s screening.

Also joining in on the premiere event were fellow castmates including Danny DeVito, Betty White and Ed Helms.

The Chris Renaud and Kyle Balda directed animated tale finds “a 12-year-old boy searching for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it, he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.”

The Lorax hits NZ cinemas on March 29.

《老雷斯的故事》的主人公是生活在森林世界中的一個(gè)矮矮胖胖的小人，人們都叫他“老雷斯”（Lorax），反派是一個(gè)名叫“老萬”(Once- ler)的貪婪鬼，他肆意砍伐森林中的樹木，用于制作一種叫做“Thneeds”的大家都需要的東西，以此來賺錢。為了保護(hù)森林，老雷斯多次找到老萬替那些可憐的樹木求情，但最終卻無濟(jì)于事。

泰勒·斯維芙特將為女主人公奧德麗配音；扎克·埃夫隆為男主人公泰德配音；丹尼·德維托為老雷斯配音；《宿醉》男星艾德·赫爾姆斯為老萬配音；與老萬沆瀣一氣的財(cái)主“老歐”（O'Hare）由羅伯·里格爾配音；年近九旬的老牌女星貝蒂·懷特為泰德的祖母配音。 影片將于2012年3月2日在北美地區(qū)公映，并有望同步引進(jìn)中國內(nèi)地。
