2011年12月四級(jí)快速閱讀考試分析

考試分析的意義在于為今后的復(fù)習(xí)指出明確的方向。而我覺(jué)得2011年12月的四級(jí)試卷中尤其快速閱讀的變化是比較大的，其測(cè)試重心從通常意義的特殊定位點(diǎn)諸如數(shù)字、大寫字母、專業(yè)術(shù)語(yǔ)，返回原文的方式，發(fā)生了轉(zhuǎn)移。具體表現(xiàn)為：

一特殊定位點(diǎn)的隱藏

傳統(tǒng)的快速閱讀對(duì)于特殊定位點(diǎn)的設(shè)計(jì)是非常重視的。而且特殊定位點(diǎn)的設(shè)定非常明顯。大寫字母，連字符，程度或比較性詞匯的出現(xiàn)，基本貫穿定位的全部。從歷年四級(jí)快速閱讀來(lái)看，三分之二的試題體現(xiàn)了這一的特點(diǎn)。而在本次試卷中，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)，數(shù)字、大寫這樣最經(jīng)典的定位題目基本全線隱藏。

二新興定位點(diǎn)的表現(xiàn)

在定位思路中，確實(shí)還有兩種標(biāo)志性的定位，比如，題干中出現(xiàn)“原因”、“目的”或“程度”或“比較性”詞匯作為定位點(diǎn)。但是，這類考題在快速閱讀中的大量出現(xiàn)還是之前歷年試卷沒(méi)有過(guò)的。

例如：第二題，What role does integrity play in personal and professional relationships? 第三題，why must we learn to identify the risks we are going to take？

第八題，Cheaters at exam don’t care about their education, all they care about is how to _________。第九題，Integrity mattersin that all social activities rely on people’s _________。在這一系列的定位過(guò)程中，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)，定位難度在不斷升高。

三題目中關(guān)鍵詞的獲取

本次試卷中，一個(gè)很大的特色是，考生需要真正理解和把握提問(wèn)的要點(diǎn)。這就需要考生在閱讀題目過(guò)程中，能夠讀懂題目的重心所在。

例如，第四題，Violation of a rule is misconduct even if _______? 我們需要發(fā)現(xiàn)題干的關(guān)鍵詞misconduct。只有這樣才很容易對(duì)應(yīng)回原文句子：But the fact that such a violation is “unintentional”does not excuse the misconduct. 這樣的題目雖然不多，但是，可能成為未來(lái)快速閱讀題目設(shè)計(jì)的一個(gè)方向。

題目解析：

1. 答案：A. sticks to them in their daily life

第一題的答案就在全文第一句。

關(guān)鍵點(diǎn)：not only…. But also….
關(guān)鍵句：The key to integrity is consistency--not only setting high personal standards for oneself (honesty, responsibility, respect for others, fairness) but also living up to those standards each day.
這里的live up to 和選項(xiàng)里的stick to 屬于同義替換。

2. 答案：C. It is the basis of mutual trust

關(guān)鍵點(diǎn)：But，personal and professional
定位句：But a lapse of integrity also affects our relationships with others. Trust is essential in any important relationship, whether personal or professional. Who can trust someone who is dishonest or unfair? Thus, integrity must be one of our most important goals.
結(jié)合緊接著的問(wèn)句，我們很容易鎖定trust這個(gè)選項(xiàng)。

3. 答案：A. To ensure we make responsible choices.

關(guān)鍵點(diǎn)：identify the risks，because
關(guān)鍵句：Making ethical decisions is a critical part of avoiding future problems. We must learn to recognize risks, because if we can't see the risks we're taking, we can't make responsible choices.
答案很明顯：make responsible choices

4. 答案：B. it is claimed to be unintentional.

關(guān)鍵點(diǎn)：But、misconduct
關(guān)鍵句：But the fact that such a violation is "unintentional" does not excuse the misconduct.
和原文意義高度一致的，就是這個(gè)unintentional。
5. 答案：A. Avoid making excuses.

關(guān)鍵點(diǎn)：fool oneself,注意又是段落首句。
關(guān)鍵句：To avoid fooling yourself, watch out for excuses and try this test
這里的watch out for 和選項(xiàng)里的avoid屬于同義替換

6. 答案：C. value immediate benefits most.

關(guān)鍵詞：regret later
關(guān)鍵句：Those who take risks they later regret usually focus on immediate benefits ("what's in it for me")
很明顯，選項(xiàng)value immediate benefits most 是正確答案。這里的value 和focus on 屬于同義替換

7. 答案：A) pay more dearly

關(guān)鍵點(diǎn)：get caught
關(guān)鍵句：Those who don't get caught pay an even higher price.
這里的higher price 和選項(xiàng)里的more dearly 屬于同義替換

8. 關(guān)鍵詞：care about

關(guān)鍵句：I'm not interested in what you're trying to teach; all I care about is stealing a grade, regardless of the effect on others."

9. 關(guān)鍵詞：rely on

關(guān)鍵句：We must rely on the honesty and good faith of others every day.

10. 關(guān)鍵詞：political and economic leaders
關(guān)鍵句：The savings and loan scandal, the stock market and junk bond swindles, and, of course, Watergate, have undermined the faith of many Americans in the integrity of political and economic leaders and society as a whole.
