新航道名師指點破解新英語四級新題型要訣
很多同學馬上就要面臨新四級考試,但是對于一些老四級中未曾出現(xiàn)過的新題型心存恐懼。不知道如何處理。實際上,正如古人常說的“難者不會,會者不難”。只要掌握了相應(yīng)的解法,新題型也只不過是紙老虎罷了。下面,針對四級班上很多同學的要求,擇要談一談15選10題型的解法。
鑒于現(xiàn)在已是十二月上旬,同學們應(yīng)該早進入復(fù)習的白熱化階段,所以本題型的意義 ,演變,發(fā)展等等一概略過。我們直接談一談本題的解法。
首先,本題型出現(xiàn)在仔細閱讀部分(共25分鐘),排在兩篇常規(guī)閱讀文章之前(每篇文章分配9分鐘)。所以本題型共10道小題最佳完成時間應(yīng)控制在7分鐘。每道小題約40秒。記住,無論一個方法多么高明,如果不能讓你在40秒內(nèi)解出一道題,這種方法就毫無意義。
其次,同一個單詞只用最多一次。破解本題的核心技巧是通過相同詞性備選詞排除,達到大幅降低難度的目的。比如,我們判斷出某空應(yīng)填入名詞,而備選詞中只有三個名詞,那么我們作題的難度就從15選1突降至3選1。
最后,利用一分鐘通覽全文,確定填入答案無誤。
本題型作題步驟如下:
一,標出15個備選詞詞性。
二,瀏覽全文,確定每個空格處應(yīng)具有的詞性。
三,比較相同詞性的備選詞,利用上下文線索,詞的褒貶色彩,平行結(jié)構(gòu),單復(fù)數(shù),時態(tài)等標準在幾個備選詞中選出唯一正確的。
四,完成全文后復(fù)查一遍。
我們以考試委員會公布的新四級考試樣題為例,講解一下本解法。來源:

例:
Q47: 通過前置冠詞 “a”判斷本處應(yīng)為名詞,且可數(shù)。從下文線索“I couldn’t understand anything,”判斷,本處應(yīng)為貶義色彩的名詞。在名詞性備選詞中,只有E) nightmare符合要求。
例:
Q48:本處通過句子結(jié)構(gòu)判斷,應(yīng)為謂語動詞,通過平行結(jié)構(gòu)可知,為過去時態(tài),且與“came home in tears , and thought about dropping out.”并列構(gòu)成貶義色彩。在動詞備選詞中,只有I)hid符合要求。
通過兩道例題的分析,同學們應(yīng)該發(fā)現(xiàn)本題型解法不難掌握。同學們可以利用另外八道小題練習一下本解法。本文的參考答案為:
