Have you heard about the Coca-Cola cheering song for China? “The Beats of China, Move the World”, as it’s known is the co-creation of many thirsty Chinese and it made its debut at the Beijing Workers Stadium in a show of support for all Chinese athletes.
The song is unique in that it is the culmination of the creative works of millions of Chinese across the country, each one contributing their own creative beat to the song, although millions of beats would make it rather long. The song aims to represent the voice of China cheering for its athletes in faraway London.
A professional crew of DJs handpicked by the beverage company remixed the “beats” from millions of entries to create a final medley which was included in renowned pianist Lang Lang’s overture and the song performed by China’s favorite pop star, Jacky Cheung.
The Coca-Cola China Beat Bottle containing millions of blessings and encouragements will be presented to the Chinese Olympic delegation the day before the London 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony on July 26, as a reminder of the flaming hopes and passion of the nation’s people encouraging them to go towards their path of glory and success.
