Flanked by Prince Charles, his wife Camilla, grandsons Harry and William, and William's wife Kate, Queen Elizabeth II waves to her loyal subjects from the balcony at Buckingham Palace as she wraps up her historic Diamond Jubilee on Tuesday. "I hope that memories of all this year's happy events will brighten our lives for many years to come," the monarch said of her four-day celebration in a videotaped message to the masses.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge take a carriage ride – along with Harry – in a processional back to Buckingham Palace from Parliament Square. It was just over a year ago that the newlyweds took a fairy-tale carriage ride following their April 29 nuptials.
