滬江英樂 Young the Giant這支獨(dú)立搖滾樂隊(duì)2004年成立于美國加州。樂隊(duì)成員包括Sameer Gadhia（主唱）、Jacob Tilley（吉他）、Eric Cannata（吉他）、Payam Doostzadeh（貝斯吉他）和 Francois Comtois（鼓手）。

最初樂隊(duì)取名為The Jakes，2008年他們自己錄制了樂隊(duì)的第一張專輯“Shake My Hand”，彼時(shí)樂隊(duì)的兩名成員還在上高中，其余的也在不同的大學(xué)讀書。不久他們便決定擱下學(xué)業(yè)專心創(chuàng)作音樂。當(dāng)時(shí)還留在樂隊(duì)的Jason Burger后來離開了樂隊(duì)，去紐約追尋自己自由音樂家的夢(mèng)想，F(xiàn)ranois Comtois就接替他作了樂隊(duì)鼓手。2008年冬天,樂隊(duì)贏得了一次網(wǎng)上競(jìng)賽，從而得到了一次于2009年1月在芝加哥的藍(lán)調(diào)之屋為Kings Of Leon作開場(chǎng)表演的機(jī)會(huì)。兩個(gè)月后，樂隊(duì)又在奧斯丁的South by Southwest音樂節(jié)上進(jìn)行了四場(chǎng)表演。2009年8月即簽入了Roadrunner Records旗下。12月樂隊(duì)宣布改名為Young the Giant。
