1. 分?jǐn)?shù)詞的用法

英語(yǔ)分?jǐn)?shù)詞由基數(shù)詞和序數(shù)詞組成。分子用基數(shù)詞，分母用序數(shù)詞，若分子大于“1”，則分母要用復(fù)數(shù)。如：

Three quarters of the students have passed the exam. 四分之三的學(xué)生考試及格了。

The WTO cannot live up to its name if it does not include a country that is home to one –fifth of mankind. 如果世貿(mào)組織不能容納占世界人口五分之一的國(guó)家，那它就算不上世界貿(mào)易組織了。

2. 百分?jǐn)?shù)的用法

百分?jǐn)?shù)由“基數(shù)詞 percent”構(gòu)成。如：

With production up by 60 percent, the company has had another excellent year. 因?yàn)楫a(chǎn)量提高了60%，所以公司那年又取得了很好的效益。

About 60 percent of the workers in this company are young people. 這個(gè)公司約60%的工人是年輕人。
