《冰川時代》突如其來的大地震，使得他們又不得不繼續(xù)遷居了，曼尼和自己的妻子還有女兒失散了，曼尼一心想與她們團(tuán)聚，而在回家的旅途里，希德一行還遇到了另一個麻煩事：冰川時代的頭號海盜，以及海盜們的奴隸。這些名為海瑞克斯的奴隸，它們長期受到海盜的壓迫失去自由，因而不會說話，希德一行希望他們能一起聯(lián)合對抗海盜，需要找到跟他們溝通的方式，話嘮希德自告奮勇要與他們談合作，卻沒想到海瑞克斯居然聽懂了，合作就此展開。希德、曼尼、迪亞哥，加上這些小海瑞克斯，組成了一支特殊的作戰(zhàn)團(tuán)隊，他們戰(zhàn)勝了兇惡的海盜，在變幻莫測的冰川時代重建自己的居所。
