Starting a business was no easy feat. As can be expected, cash was tight in the earlier phase. The investment needed in the beginning was substantial, and the on-going variable costs for all the up-keeping were high. It took a while for the club business to get on track, when the cash flowing in and out started to become steady. After the club had established a name for itself, getting more corporate events and hosting more special events became easier. It was during that earlier period when Hodge encountered difficulty.
