Things You'll Need

1 cup rice
一杯米
Bowl
一個(gè)碗
Skillet
一口燉鍋
Pot
一個(gè)平底鍋
Salt, to taste
調(diào)味鹽
1/2 tsp. oil

Step 1
第一步
Rinse long-grain rice if you choose. Some people recommend rinsing in order to rid the rice of any contaminants. However, some rice is enriched with iron and other nutrients that can be rinsed off. Examine your rice's packaging before rinsing to ensure it is necessary. Place 1 cup rice into a bowl filled with with cold water if you decide to rinse it. Swirl around the rice and slowly drain out the water. Repeat until the water is mostly clear when drained. Drain the rice well in sieve.

Step 2
第二步
Saute the rice before cooking it if you want the rice to be less sticky. Heat 1 tbsp. olive oil in a skillet set over medium heat. Add the rice grains and saute them until the ends of the rice are translucent.
如果你希望米飯不那么粘的話可以在煮飯之前先炒一下米。在鍋中中火加熱一茶匙的橄欖油。加入米并炒一下直到米飯變得半透明。
Step 3
第三步
Combine the rice with 1 1/2 cups water in a heavy saucepan and add salt to taste.
將米和一杯半的水混合加入大燉鍋中,并加入鹽調(diào)味。
Step 4
第四步
Include 1 tsp. olive oil and set the pan over high heat. Heat the water until it comes to a boil.
高火加熱鍋并加入一湯匙橄欖油。持續(xù)加熱燉鍋直到水開。
Step 5
第五步
Reduce the heat to a simmer and cover the pot after the rice has started to boil. Simmer the mixture for 12 to 15 minutes or until all of the water has been absorbed.
米飯煮開之后在蓋上鍋蓋的鍋中小火燉煮12至15分鐘或至水分完全蒸發(fā)。
Step 6
第六步
Remove the pan from the heat and set aside, covered, for another five minutes. This allows the rice to steam slightly.
關(guān)火,放置冷卻,掀蓋,等待5分鐘。這使得米飯能夠微微散掉蒸汽。
Step 7
第七步
Fluff the rice grains with a fork before serving.
出鍋前用叉子將米飯翻松。
