It was always good to know ahead of time if someone from upper management all of a sudden decided to attend the meeting last minute. If the managing director were to walk in when one of them was presenting, Shawn could imagine how stressed out his team members would feel. It was not necessarily that his team was not prepared enough, it was just the feeling of having something unexpected pop out could be intimidating. Shawn himself probably would not be too stressed out, but for sure he would be taken by surprise.
