The photo of late CCTV newscaster Luo Jing was placed in the center of a temporary funeral hall set up in 307 hospital of Beijing, where he passed away at 48, for incurable lymphoma Friday morning.
As one of the most familiar faces on daily prime time news over the past two decades, Luo Jing will be long remembered for his professionalism, impeccable etiquette and smart appearance on screen.
Looking at this revered newsman in his casual blue T-shirt – an everyday image that looks just like that of a close friend - people can hardly accept the truth that he has passed away.
Flower wreaths laid in tribute cover the funeral hall from members of the public who are deeply grieving over his death. In the center hangs a condolence couplet, reading 'Mr. Luo Jing will always live in our heart'.
