1. Ross: Not that big a deal? It's?amazing. Ok, you just reach in there, there's one little maneuver, and bam, a bra right out the sleeve. All right, as far as I'm concerned, there is nothing a guy can do that even comes close. Am I right?

Rachel: Come on! You guys can pee standing up.

Chandler: We can? All right, I'm tryin' that.

Joey: Ok, you know what blows my mind? Women can see breasts any time they want. You just look down and there they are. How you get any work done is beyond me.

Phoebe: Oh, ok, you know what I don't get? The way guys can do so many mean things, and then not even care.

老友們關(guān)系實(shí)在太融洽了，在一起侃大山什么都敢掏心，這一次聊天不知怎么就撤到了互相揭男人女人的短上來(lái)了，Ross先開頭，他覺得女人們能像變戲法一樣地把bra 從衣服的袖子里拿出來(lái)真是太神奇了， maneuver 這個(gè)詞源自法語(yǔ)，本意是“體力勞動(dòng)”，在英語(yǔ)中作名詞時(shí)是“策略、巧計(jì)、花招”的意思，在這里表示一種很巧妙的動(dòng)作或手法。另外再看一下bamm，這是一個(gè)象聲詞，一聲槍響就可以用bam來(lái)形容，但它經(jīng)常被用來(lái)表示 “突然、一下子”的意思。

Joey是個(gè)花心大蘿卜，甩了Angela之后卻發(fā)現(xiàn)他犯了huge mistake,所以很后悔，但是又?jǐn)[臭架子不愿意給Angela機(jī)會(huì)涮他，于是在那兒做作的數(shù)著一二三，拖延了時(shí)間后再上前，以免顯得太主動(dòng)太渴望。這里“One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi”中的Mississippi沒有特殊含義，主要起到延時(shí)作用。

4. Ross: Ok, ok, now what is wrong with my Snuggles? What, it says I'm a sensitive, warm kinda guy, you know, like a little, fuzzy bear. Ok, I can pick something else up on the way.

Chandler: There you go.

Sensitive是敏感的、靈敏的意思，注意一下其他同根詞，sensible是明智的、有判斷力的意思，sensational是轟動(dòng)的、聳人聽聞的意思；這里Ross聽到Chandler說(shuō)他的柔順劑不好時(shí)候，進(jìn)行了反駁，他說(shuō)“我現(xiàn)在用的柔順劑又怎么不好了？這表明我是很靈敏、親切的人啊，就像毛毛熊一樣?！眕ick up的用法也很多，這里是（隨便）買的意思。

There you go口語(yǔ)中也很常見，可用Here/There sb go的句式概括，一般就是表示贊同、贊賞的意思或者相當(dāng)于here/there you are。

5. Monica: It is so great to meet a guy who is smart and funny, and has an emotional age beyond, like eight.

首先注意一個(gè)詞組emotional age是“感情成熟年齡”的意思，人的年齡是否真的分為心理年齡和實(shí)際年齡??？如果那樣子的話，我看幾個(gè)老友們的心理年齡估計(jì)也只有20來(lái)歲。這里Monica對(duì)于別人的男朋友幾乎一見鐘情，說(shuō)他聰明瀟灑、幽默風(fēng)趣、成熟穩(wěn)重。最后還來(lái)了個(gè)like eight，大概是贊他有顆童心吧。

這段對(duì)白東方人恐怕很難自然的表達(dá)出來(lái)，反正我覺得挺肉麻的，老外還真是經(jīng)常利用任何機(jī)會(huì)稱贊人呢，雖然這里的Ross有借機(jī)套近乎之嫌。Incredible，翻譯成“不可思議的，難以置信的”，生活中碰到暫時(shí)無(wú)法用言語(yǔ)表達(dá)溢美之詞的時(shí)候，就可以來(lái)這樣一句。
