李克強參觀清邁崇華新生華立學(xué)校(視頻)
Ahead of his visit to Vietnam, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang visited a bilingual school in the northern Thai city of Chiang Mai. He’s urged students to carry on the traditional friendship between the two nations.
Upon his arrival at Chongfah Sinseung Wanich Bamrung School, students performed a Chinese fan dance and a dragon and lion show. Teaching there is conducted in both Thai and Chinese.
Premier Li read aloud ancient Chinese poems and spoke about Chinese proverbs. He expressed the hope that they could become envoys for China-Thailand friendship. Li also met with Chinese volunteers teaching Chinese in the school, and praised their contributions to the development of bilateral relations.
Also on Sunday, Li visited an exhibition showcasing traditional Thai handicrafts. He was accompanied by Thai Prime Minister, Yingluck Shinawatra.
Noting China and Thailand each have their own specialities, he said the two sides should learn from each other and further expand bilateral trade.
Thailand is the second leg of Li’s first Southeast Asia tour as premier, which has taken him to Brunei for an official visit and a series of East Asian leaders’ meetings.
