President Barack Obama's appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman" boosted the CBS talk show to its highest overnight ratings since February 2010.

Obama's appearance was particularly powerful in New York, attracting nearly half a million viewers and a 2.6 rating in adults 25-54. It was the most watched "Late Show" in New York since Jan. 2, 2008. CBS notes "Late Show" was also tops in the time period among total viewers in Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Boston, Minneapolis, Sacramento, Pittsburgh and Baltimore.
