Mitt Romney barely topped Rick Santorum in Ohio's closely-watched Super Tuesday Republican primary. Romney also won Alaska, Virginia, Idaho, Vermont and Massachusetts. Santorum won Oklahoma, Tennessee and North Dakota. Newt Gingrich won in Georgia.

Former Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich lost a primary for his house seat. Redistricting force Kucinich to run against another veteran Democrat.

Britain says six service members are missing and presumed dead in Southern Afghanistan after an explosion hit their vehicle.

And six alleged members of the hacker group Anonymous are facing charges in Europe and the U.S. They were arrested after a separated hacker became an FBI informant.
