The White House says there will be no change in its Afghan strategy. That’s after the weekend shooting of 16 Afghan civilians, allegedly by a U.S. soldier. In the meantime, the Taliban say they are vowing revenge.

An Attorney for accused New York madam is offering more than just legal arguments to get her out of jail. Anna Gristina’s lawyer says he’ll put up his $2.5 million Manhattan loft as security for her $2 million bail and to have her be under house arrest and electronic monitoring there with her family.

War correspondent Marie Colvin has been laid to rest. The funeral is held in her childhood home of Oyster Bay, New York. The Sunday Times of London’s journalist was killed while covering the ongoing conflict in Syria.

And free agent quarterback Peyton Manning has been spending time in Denver, talking to the Broncos for nearly six hours. The team is interested in Manning has fans in Denver wondering about the future of current quarterback and fan favorite, Tim Tebow.
