Warren Buffett to perform for China over Chinese New Year

BEIJING - Billionaire investor Warren Buffett will reach out to millions of Chinese in the most curious of ways: singing for the online version of China's annual Spring Festival gala.
北京：億萬(wàn)富商兼投資大亨股神沃倫·巴菲特將以最特別的方式跟廣大中國(guó)觀眾見(jiàn)面：他將獻(xiàn)唱中國(guó)一度一年的網(wǎng)絡(luò)春節(jié)聯(lián)歡晚會(huì)。

The Berkshire Hathaway chief executive, best known in China for his investment in automaker BYD Co Ltd, has recorded a video specially for the gala in which he sings and plays the guitar, state news agency Xinhua said, citing Wang Pingjiu, a production executive for the broadcast.
巴菲特是美國(guó)著名保險(xiǎn)投資集團(tuán)伯克希爾·哈撒韋公司的董事長(zhǎng)，他在中國(guó)最廣為人知的是對(duì)比亞迪汽車公司的投資。據(jù)新華社報(bào)道稱，中國(guó)網(wǎng)絡(luò)春晚的監(jiān)制王平久透露，巴菲特為網(wǎng)絡(luò)春晚特別錄制了一段視頻，在視頻中股神邊彈吉他邊唱歌。

"We all know that Buffett is good at investment, but few knew he also did well in singing," Xinhua quoted Wang as telling a news conference.
新華社援引王平久的話在新聞發(fā)布會(huì)上表示：“我們都知道巴菲特很擅于投資，不過(guò)很少有人知道他也很會(huì)唱歌?！?/div>

Xinhua said Wang gave no details of the song. Berkshire Hathway was not available for comment on Thursday.
新華社表示王平久沒(méi)有透露歌曲的細(xì)節(jié)，伯克希爾·哈撒韋公司本周四未對(duì)此事發(fā)表評(píng)論。

The gala will be broadcast on the website of China's Network Television on on the first day of Chinese New Year, which falls on January 23, Xinhua said, adding that a condensed version will be shown on China Central Television.
新華社稱，網(wǎng)絡(luò)春晚將于中國(guó)農(nóng)歷新年的第一天即1月23日在中國(guó)網(wǎng)絡(luò)電視臺(tái)播出，中央電視臺(tái)還將播出網(wǎng)絡(luò)春晚的濃縮精華版。

The broadcast on the eve of Chinese New Year is the most watched program of the year. Millions tune in for the heavily scripted and censored five-hour extravaganza filled with rehearsed comedy skits and armies of dancers.
