很多年過去了，巨人變得老弱多病了。他不能在和孩子們一起玩了。他坐在他的大椅子上看著孩子們玩。
巨人很高興，因?yàn)楹⒆觽兪顾_心?！拔业幕▓@里有很多美好的事物，”他想了想，“但是最美麗的花朵是孩子們?！?冬天又來了。巨人看著窗外。他看到一個(gè)小男孩站在樹下。書上有很多的blossmos.
巨人很興奮，他跑下樓梯來到花園，跑到小男孩身邊擁抱他。小男孩對(duì)巨人說“你是個(gè)好巨人，”他說：“以前，你幫助我爬到樹上，現(xiàn)在你可以和我一起，我們一起永遠(yuǎn)的住在天堂。”
那天下午，孩子們來到花園，他們看到了巨人，他躺在地上，很多的blossmos在他頭頂。他死了，臉上還帶著笑容。
