Hung-chien said, “I hate them myself. Luckily we won’t ever be living together. I realize the meal today completely turned your stomach. By the way, speaking of the children, it just occurred to me. I think you’re supposed to give them some First Meeting money, and tips to the two servants.” Jou-chia stamped her foot and cried, “Why didn’t you tell me earlier? We don’t do that in our family. I’m just out of school. I don’t know all those silly old rules. What a nuisance! I don’t like being your Fang family daughter-in-law any more!”?(美 Jeanne Kelly, Nathan K.Mao <譯> –Fortress Besieged)

除了文中的turn one’s stomach以外,常用的譯法還有spoil one’s appetite; be fed up with。
Too much of this food will spoil your appetite.
I’m fed up with such TV dramas.

想起來(lái)

occur是不及物動(dòng)詞,作“被想起,被想到”解時(shí),是翻譯考試中很常見(jiàn)的一個(gè)知識(shí)點(diǎn),其中又以it occurred to me這樣的形式居多。如:
It occurred to me the other day that I might not have come to love life as I do if I hadn’t been blind.
His name just did not occur to my memory.

None of us girls is supposed to smoke.
When is the ship supposed to leave?
