Rick Kamla here at Atlanta with breaking news. According to league's sources, Houston Rockets' center Yao Ming has decided to retire after nine seasons in the NBA. Last month, Shaquille O'Neal announced his retirement. So in the last five weeks, the NBA has lost two of the great big men of this era and two of the most unique figures in league history. I'll look at the bio of Yao: First overall pick to the Rockets in 2002, eight-time NBA All-Star. His career average is 19 points over nine rebounds, almost two blocks per game, shot 52% from the field and 83% from the foul line. And we take a look at it year by year. In the first three years, he missed just two games, then the injuries hit and they did not relent, forcing Yao Ming to retire after playing just five games in the past two seasons.
