1. Catch a chill. 著涼,感冒
Don’t go out with wet hair, you might catch a chill.
別濕著頭發(fā)就跑出去,會著涼的。

Tips: 這里的chill是寒冷,寒氣的意思,為可數(shù)名詞。catch a chill更多的表示感冒是由天氣而引起的;have/catch a cold則可以表示通過他人感染。
2. Cast a chill over sb. 使某人感到沮喪、寒心
The unpleasant news cast a chill over the whole party.
