Two Americans jailed for two years in Iran arrive in Oman today, on the way back to the U.S. Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal released on bail of 500,000 dollars each. Sarah Shourd who was freed a year ago greeted the men.

President Barack Obama said it's up to Israel and the Palestinians not the U.N. to reach agreement in a speech today to the General Assembly. He opposed the decision by the Palestinians to seek statehood recognition from the Security Council.

A law enforcement official says the man who was seriously injured along with his two sons by a car bomb blasted in Michigan is an area lawyer. Authorities are looking for clues about how the bomb was made, and who might have planted it.

Remains of nine services men who died when their bomber was shot down in the Pacific during World War II have been buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Remains were recovered in 1949, but couldn’t been identified. In recent years, DNA and dental records helped identify the men
