Queen Elizabeth has just put up a notice that she is looking to hire a dishwasher for the princely annual salary of 14 200 pounds who will get to spend the greater part of the year at Buckingham palace and who must also be able to spend up two months of the year at the Queen’s other residences- which include- Balmoral, Windsor and Sandringham.

Candidates must be punctual, reliable, able to work well in a team and have a flexible and willing attitude.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “It is a very small, tight team and they retain that small team atmosphere when they move around. When the court moves to Balmoral or elsewhere, so does the team. The job is an official position paid from the Civil List.”
