無處不在的泡菜

埃及和中東的其他不少國家一樣,很喜歡泡菜,而且他們基本什么都泡,只要是蔬菜都行。

如果你是那種吃飯喜歡配咸菜的人,你大概很能適應(yīng)埃及的飲食,他們吃什么都能配泡菜。

While technically not a dish on its own, torshi (pickled veggies) deserves its own mention as a staple of Egypt's cuisine. Why? Because it is served with almost everything. In Egypt, pickles are more than just cucumbers. Almost any kind of vegetable can be turned into torshi: cauliflower, carrots, peppers – the list goes on and on.
雖然嚴(yán)格地講,泡菜并不是一道單一的菜,但作為埃及菜的主要菜品,它還是值得一提的。為什么呢?因?yàn)樗鼛缀蹩梢院退械氖澄镆黄鹗秤?。在埃及,泡菜不僅僅有黃瓜。幾乎所有蔬菜都可以做成泡菜:花椰菜、胡蘿卜、辣椒等等。
