【背景介紹】

慘烈的芝加哥大戰(zhàn)，汽車人雖然成功擊退了霸天虎的入侵，卻也讓地球人對他們失去了應有的信任與尊重。由美國中情局組建的墓風部隊對所有的變形金剛進行無差別的獵殺，一時間汽車人和霸天虎全都在地球不見了蹤影。某天，居住在得州的落魄機械發(fā)明家凱德·伊格買回來一輛破舊的卡車車頭，誰知那竟是處在休眠中的汽車人首領擎天柱。嗅到氣息的墓風部隊蜂擁而至，蘇醒后的擎天柱救走了凱德一家，也和散落在各個角落的汽車人相繼取得聯(lián)系。另一方面，瘋狂的人類科學家從變形金剛的殘骸中獲知了他們變形的秘密，并企圖借此制造出人造金剛，而脫胎自威震天的驚破天正是他們的得意作品以及催命死神。新一輪的危機卷土而來，地球面臨更大的災難。
