無論工作與否，估計(jì)很多人都有聽說過“職業(yè)前景”這個(gè)詞吧。最近又出來個(gè)新詞叫“職業(yè)虛景”，英語則是Career veneer，這到底是啥玩意兒呢？?

Urban Dictionary中這樣解釋道：

Career veneer：The thin layer of potential for career advancement, increase in pay and future opportunities that an employer paints on your job to convince you that the future holds something more than you are currently experiencing.

從上面這段解釋中我們可以看到，“職業(yè)虛景”簡單說來，就是指老板為員工描繪的燦爛未來了吧，比如加薪啊，升職啊等等美好的事物，讓員工覺得未來是值得期待的。

我們看到這里的veneer這個(gè)詞，多用來表示“superficial appearance covering or disguising the true nature of sb/sth”，即“虛假的外表，掩飾”的意思，是一種比喻用法。比如說：

His veneer of politeness concealed a ruthless determination.
他彬彬有禮的偽裝下隱藏著不擇手段的狠心。
