September 28th, 1825 - First Train Railway running in New England.

The invention of the steam-powered locomotive helped forge the great industrial revolution of the 19th Century, with an explosion of railway systems across Europe and the United States. Following the development of steam engine, Britain's Richard Trevithick began advancing designs for a steam locomotive as early as 1797. Various models followed in England, but it was George Stevenson who built the first locomotive designed for public rail use. By September 28th, 1825, the first locomotive tracks and public railway was running between Stockton and Darlington England. Following the British initiative, the Baltimore and Ohio railway opened for service in the U.S. in 1830, while France began locomotive powered passenger service in 1832.
