#10 Season 1 - Fashion Fish Out of Water
Brenda was a fashion fish out of water when she arrived in L.A. wearing off-the-rack, ill-fitting, polyester suit jackets mixed with multicolored print blouses and skirts. And of course, sensible shoes!

#9 Season 1 - Droopy Scoopy, Oh No!
Oh, the baggy jackets, droopy-scoopy-neck blouses, and syrupy-sweet Southern floral print skirts. The jackets were too big, the skirts too long, and the tops too loose!

#8 Season 1 - When All Else Fails, Go Comfy
This cashmere Ralph Lauren cardigan was the very first costume worn by Brenda in the pilot. She has worn it every season in scenes where she needs to be comforted. It's her go-to when Ho Hos just won't do.

#7 Season 2 - Refine Your Style
Brenda began to refine her style in Season Two. While at a crime scene she spotted a great vintage jacket in what she thought was a thrift store. (Actually, in L.A. they're called Vintage Shoppes!) The Lilli Ann suits were a perfect fit for Brenda and easily paired with her floral skirts for a decidedly feminine look in a male-dominated workplace; soft in color but strong in statement!

#6 Season 3 - Twin Sets: A Winning Combination
Any good Southern woman loves a good twin set, be it in pastel cashmere or in a floral print dress and coordinated matching cardigan. Still a fashion rebel, Brenda interrogated criminals in vintage '60s print sheath dresses and super sweet cardigans. Proving you can still dress like a lady in a man's world.

#5 Season 3 - It's All About the Trench Coat
Any good cop, be it Columbo or Pepper Anderson, needs a good trench coat! This salmon pink silhouette, with a softly feminine, striped satin ribbon belt, made quite an impression at the crime scene.

#4 Season 4 - The Power Suit, Brenda Style
Season Two introduced the Lilli Ann collection to Brenda's wardrobe, but the fabulous find of the Irene suit, designed and made in L.A. in the '40s, redefined Brenda. Mixing a vintage jacket from that era with a floral skirt from 2004 made sense for this working-girl-cum-detective. But, when Brenda wore the suit as a whole -- the fitted jacket and straight pencil skirt -- she redefined the look of the Southern belle in Southern California. The coordinating high heel gives the power suit the look of sophistication and strength.

#3 Season 4 - In the Trenches
What else can you say about a cream white, full vintage, full circle skirted trench coat? This one was all about how it moved and sashayed on Brenda Leigh. It should be a crime to look this good!

#2 Season 5 - Looking Good From Coat to Coat
This baby-pink Ralph Lauren trench coat helped Brenda prove, once again, that the trench doesn't have to be boring in beige to make it apropos. Brenda may be a lot of things, but boring isn't one of them!

#1 Season 6 - The Cashmere Cardigan
In the end, Brenda's wardrobe has always been about being comfortable, whether it's a tacky suit jacket and floral skirt, a powerful vintage power suit, or something like this honey-brown Ralph Lauren cashmere cable-knit cardigan.
