??倫敦區(qū)的臥室音樂人James Chapman化名為Maps.06年10月發(fā)行過一張6首歌的EP"Start Something",07年終于發(fā)行了首張專輯"We Can Create".專輯Demo是James在家做完的,他獨立操刀所有的創(chuàng)作與錄音,并請來Valgeir Sigurosson和Ken Thomas的制作人擔(dān)任母帶的處理任務(wù).新專輯以Lo-Fi的電子迷幻噪音為主,流暢好聽.?

? Maps其實是支一人樂隊, 隱藏在這個名字下的是英國青年James Chapman。 James在開始的時候曾化名為Short Break Operator, 并發(fā)行了一張EP, 之后, 貌似他把名字簡稱為低調(diào)的Operator, 再后來, 便成了我們眼前的Maps... (叫這個名字, 他是太不想紅了吧...)

? 名字越改越普通, 以為樂如其名, Maps的音樂注定好聽不了的人可是錯了, 沉寂數(shù)年的James這次是卯足勁要給大家一個驚喜, 在半年時間里連續(xù)推出了EP Start Something和專輯We Can Create。 在新專輯里, James更是堅定了自己的創(chuàng)作方向, 那就是充滿電氣化的睡眠搖滾. 綿密的電子吉他筑起了厚重的音墻, 信手拈來的優(yōu)美旋律, 還有貫穿全碟的迷離感, 甚至James毫無底氣的歌聲, 都是夜晚聆聽的最佳伴侶。 尤其喜歡歌曲It Will Find You里透著的暗黑氛圍, 極其華美的音效使我每聽一次都有新的體驗。
