I live in an area that recently got a good amount of snow.

Here I am, sitting on my couch watching TV when I get a knock on my door.
這天，我正坐在沙發(fā)上看著電視，突然聽到一陣敲門聲。

Expecting a package, I look out the window but I don’t see a delivery vehicle.
我以為是我的包裹到了，就從窗戶看向窗外，卻沒有看到送快遞的郵車。

I’m not dressed to answer the door so I scramble to get dressed and answer the door.
我沒有穿外衣，不太方便去開門，于是我趕緊穿好衣服，打開了門。

Standing outside is a man with a heavy coat, gloves, and a hat and he asks me "Can I help you shovel your driveway?".?
門外站著一個(gè)男人，他穿著厚厚的外套，戴著手套和帽子。他問我：“我能幫你把車道上的積雪鏟干凈嗎？”

When he left, I saw him proceed to the surrounding houses and ask my other neighbors if they needed help.
我答應(yīng)了他。當(dāng)他鏟完雪離開的時(shí)候，我看到他走向附近的人家，詢問周圍的鄰居他們是否需要幫助。

To be clear, it’s still snowing and is still below freezing outside.
我得說一句，當(dāng)時(shí)外面還下著雪，溫度還在零度以下，嚴(yán)寒刺骨。

This melted my heart. I’m so glad there are people like this in the world.
這個(gè)人的舉動(dòng)讓我心中涌起一股暖流。世界上還有如此善良的人，為此我心存感恩。
