It’s been a while since we’ve seen good, old Jeremy Gilbert (Steven R. McQueen) on “The Vampire Diaries,” but we expect he’s been busy hunting down vampires all across the country (not to mention putting out fires in Chicago).

Now that McQueen has officially been written off “Chicago Fire” though, we can’t help but wonder if he’ll use his new?free time to pay a visit to the inhabitants of Mystic Falls?as the show that launched his career comes to an end.

McQueen can, and certainly should, land a leading role in a new show this year, but we’ve got our fingers crossed he’ll manage to make a short cameo as we approach the series finale of?“The Vampire Diaries.” If only to see Elena inevitably wake up one day in the distant (or not so distant) future.
