A sneak peek preview was just released at 2012 Comic-Con for "The Vampire Diaries" season 4. The preview gives fans a small glimpse of how Elena handles being turned into a vampire. Spoiler alert: stop reading now if you don’t want to know what’s coming up on the show!

The preview is just over two minutes long, but don’t expect to see much footage from the upcoming season, probably due to the fact that they have just started filming season 4.

The preview takes fans on a journey from when Elena just began to learn about vampires, to when she becomes one. She asks Stefan a few questions about being a vampire and the preview hints that Elena will have face the tough task of having to feed.

The new season 4 footage is a bit heartbreaking. Elena sobs to Stefan that she never wanted to become a vampire. She tells him,"I know that I love you Stefan, but my future, our lives together, those were things I was supposed to deal with as they came along. I was supposed to grow up, decide if I want to have kids and start a family. I don’t want to be a vampire, Stefan. I never wanted to be one."

The only other new footage is a short clip at the end of the preview. Damon and Stefan are arguing (as usual) and Stefan tells his brother, "You weren’t there the day Elena looked me in the eye and told me she absolutely never wanted this." Damon has no sympathy for Stefan and he counters, "Then you shouldn’t have let her die." Stefan then admits that he never meant for her to die.

據(jù)悉，第四季將于北京時(shí)間10月12日回歸，心急如焚的TVD粉們還需要等候三個(gè)月的時(shí)間。
