1. lay out

Grace laid out the knives and forks on the table.

The code of practice lays out very clearly what the duties of the registrar are.

2. lazybone

①idle

He's a very able student, he's just bone idle (= very lazy).

②indolent

Those who revel in the Internet tend to lead an indolent life.

③slothful

He was not slothful: he had been busy all night.

④sluggish

A heavy lunch makes me sluggish in the afternoon.

⑤slack off

Do not slack off in your studies.
