英語求職信的四大目標(biāo)

就跟推銷一樣,目的都是要引起顧客(雇主)興趣,達(dá)到成功推銷自己的效果。很多求職者沒有寫Cover Letter(求職信)的習(xí)慣或根本不知道Cover letter的重要性。求職信就是用文字語言在推銷自己。寫求職信離不開簡單介紹自己、列出你的優(yōu)點和技能、要求給予面試機(jī)會及說明要求待遇等等。要在云云應(yīng)征者中突圍而出,你必須注意下列四大要點。 ?這四點分別為內(nèi)涵、美觀、精而簡要和反覆校正! ?
一、求職信要有內(nèi)涵。這是最重要的一項,意思即是要令求職信有內(nèi)涵,要"投其所好。投其所好即是說你 要為每份工作都寫下求職信,千萬不要千篇一律,用一篇全世界通用的求職信來應(yīng)征只會反 映出你對這份工作毫無誠意。 ?
二、求職信要美觀。寫求職信時注重外在美并非要你找些紅紅綠綠有花紋的信紙來書信,外在美的意思是要令對方收到信時有舒服整齊的感覺。而文章最好是能夠長短得宜。要注意的地方:
1.求職信的長度不要過長,最好以一頁為限,不要超過一頁。
2.信紙選用質(zhì)素好的純白A4紙便可,這可以給人一種整齊舒服的感覺 。
3.千萬不要使用影印本。如果連你的簽名都是影印的話,就可以反映你的誠意是如何不足了。 因此,求職信內(nèi)的簽名,最好要親筆簽名,以示專重和誠意,一封壯重的求職信才可以為你帶來 面試的機(jī)會。
4.行距方面要適中。不然只會令雇主會看得很辛苦,對于看不順眼的求職信, 最終只會落得被投籃的下場。 ?
三、精而簡要。顧名思義,寫求職信的內(nèi)容應(yīng)盡量精簡,不宜累贅,用字亦要精確恰當(dāng),不要標(biāo)新立異。此外, 不要以為用一些異常深澀難明的詞語可以突顯你的才華,應(yīng)該要以簡潔易明為原則。格式要盡量 跟足,除非你是創(chuàng)意非凡兼且寫得一手好文章,否則破格的求職信絕對不適合您。應(yīng)該用字要精簡,一針見血。切忌離題萬丈,又或者長篇大論滔滔不絕也不到正題。避免使用深澀難明的字詞。套用一般公文的格式來寫作 。 ?
四、反覆校正。不論你的求職信寫得如何突出,如果沒有小心校對過,引致最終錯漏百出亦是徒然。需要注意的事項:
1.所以你要再三閱讀你的求職信,確保沒有錯漏,才好將信寄出。
2.對于一些不太明白的用詞要特別小心,避免用錯詞語使你原有的意思被誤解,貽笑大方。3.小心錯別字。公司名稱和負(fù)責(zé)人的職銜及姓名要多加留意有否出錯,以免被扣印象分。反覆校正,確定信件無誤才把求職信寄出。
4.檢查一下附加的資料是否齊全,如履歷表、相片及學(xué)歷證明等等??梢缘脑挷环翆⑶舐毿沤o朋友看看,看看有沒有錯漏之處。
