Dan: Well, it looks like we're not gonna have to wait until next fall for Serena to ditch. She's skipping brunch.
Rufus: Oh, I'd really hoped we'd all be together.
Dan: Y... you know what? Let me see what I can do. I mean, she's generally not a morning person, but show up with a bone dry cappuccino, and she'll pretty much follow you anywhere.
ditch: to get away from (a person, especially a companion).
a morning person: 早起的人
bone dry cappuccino: 卡布基諾咖啡的一種,常規(guī)的做法1/3 牛奶, 1/3 奶泡, 1/3 espresso,而bone dry是只有奶泡和espresso, 而沒有牛奶。cappuccino的分類大家可以看下面:1.) Wet: No foam, all milk, and espresso 2.) Dry: More foam than milk and espresso 3.) Bone Dry: All Foam, no milk, and espresso 4.) Regular: 1/3 milk, 1/3 foam, 1/3 espresso

Lily: Oh, my god.
Dan: Yeah. Uh, Serena thinks she can somehow sweet-talk him into giving everything back, but I mean, r... seriously, I... I don't think Blair and Chuck can scheme their way out of this one.?
con artist: con是confidence的縮寫,confidence artist或者confidence man指的就是詐騙犯。這個(gè)單詞最早出現(xiàn)在對(duì)一個(gè)叫做William Thompson的審判中。Thompson常常和陌生人搭訕,直到騙取他們信任,接著就問他們是否信任他并把他們的手表交給他(if they had the confidence to lend him their watches),之后他就拿著手表走人。后來是有一個(gè)之前的受害者在路上認(rèn)出了他,他才被繩之以法的。
scam: 和con一樣,都表示騙局,詐騙的意思。另外還可以說:swindle, grift, bunko 或者flim flam
sweet-talk someone into: 甜言蜜語(yǔ),連哄帶騙說服某人

mark: 容易被騙的人,通常是一個(gè)騙局里的初級(jí)目標(biāo),騙子就靠他來接近終極目標(biāo)。
score: 這里就是目標(biāo),獵物的意思

Chuck: Smart girl.
Gabriel: Yeah. She said we had to end it now. She offered to buy me out so I could leave.

buy out: 付錢買斷某人的權(quán)利或者地位
