look his best with: 白玫瑰總是能把他襯的很好看，注意英文表達(dá)語序跟中文是反的。Gary Grant是電影演員。
insane: 發(fā)瘋除了freak out, 還可以說crazy, nuts, out of mind. 這個(gè)insane是發(fā)瘋的“最高境界”，本意是神志不清。注意Dorota的回答，“怎么了”這句話，她沒有回答what, 或者what happened, 而是說I don’t know. 我覺得這也是中文跟英文思維不同的一個(gè)地方。越來越覺得Dorota可愛了，不知道大家有沒有跟我一樣的想法。

milk him for information: 這個(gè)milk用的非常好，像擠牛奶那樣套取資料。另外還可以說dig up dirt，但是這里的dirt專門指緋聞或者負(fù)面的新聞，而information則比較中性，大家可以根據(jù)場合選擇使用。

the ropes: 秘訣，規(guī)則，注意the ropes是固定搭配，必須一起使用。

absurd和steep都表示不合理，貴的離譜的，所以除了expensive, 我們也可以多用用這兩個(gè)單詞。另外補(bǔ)充一點(diǎn)，cheap一般指價(jià)格便宜且質(zhì)量很差的東西，真的“價(jià)廉物美”叫做it’s a bargain或者it’s a good deal.

muse: 繆斯女神，或者說靈感女神。任何激發(fā)你靈感的人或者東西，都可以說是你的muse.
backfired: 事與愿違，這種表達(dá)也是屬于非native speaker比較少會(huì)想到要去用的地道詞匯，大家可以重點(diǎn)注意一下。
refrain: 我會(huì)克制我自己的。

Blair: You threw in the towel rather easily. I expected a harder fight.

throw in the towel: To quit in defeat. The phrase comes from boxing, in which a fighter indicates surrender by throwing a towel into the ring.

這里B對Cyrus說“你最好對我媽媽好一點(diǎn)，否則我會(huì)找你算帳的”，這個(gè)算帳，就是I'll be coming for you. 粗魯一點(diǎn)的版本是I'll hunt you down and kick your ass. (清楚的記得老友記里，Monica跟Chandler結(jié)婚前夕，Ross作為哥哥，很嚴(yán)肅的對Chandler說了這樣一段話“無論追到天涯海角，我都會(huì)來找你算帳的”)

toad: 癩蛤蟆，這里她們的對話其實(shí)是用了“青蛙王子”里的比喻。想到前面S第一次看到Aaron的爸爸，她有點(diǎn)驚訝(因?yàn)楦缸觾扇苏娴氖且粋€(gè)是青蛙，一個(gè)是王子)，而Aaron爸爸還很幽默的說You didn't catch the family resemblance?(你難道沒看出我們兩個(gè)長的很像嗎)。
