crop, harvest, yield

這些名詞均含有“收成”之意。

crop : 普通用詞，側(cè)重指農(nóng)作物一次收割或一季的收成。

Because of the spring rains, the farmers had a bounteous crop. （因?yàn)橄铝舜河?農(nóng)夫獲得了豐收。）

harvest : 主要指農(nóng)作物或水果的收獲量，有時(shí)也指收割的行為。

There was a good harvest that year.（那一年收成好。）

yield : 指生產(chǎn)物，農(nóng)作物的總產(chǎn)量。

All these have helped raise farm yields steadily.（所有這些都有助于農(nóng)業(yè)產(chǎn)量的穩(wěn)步提高。）

cry, weep, sob

這3個(gè)動(dòng)詞均有“哭”之意。

cry : 普通用詞。指因痛苦、悲哀或傷感等出聲地哭。

The baby can cry as soon as he is born.（嬰兒生下來(lái)就會(huì)哭 。）

weep : 書面用詞，指小哭或無(wú)聲地哭，側(cè)重流淚。

She wept her sad fate.（她為她的悲慘命運(yùn)而哭泣。）

sob : 指抽泣、嗚咽。

The child started to sob when he couldn't find his mother.（孩子因找不到他媽媽哭了起來(lái)。）
